When the COVID-19 pandemic struck the world, it was difficult for everyone - but even more challenging for the frontline medical workers. They faced issues that they couldn’t prepare for and they worked tirelessly to save lives every day. No one experienced the daily struggles of the pandemic more than our brave frontline medical workers. These warriors have been the lifeline of our society during these difficult times.
Their message is simple: Get vaccinated, so you can save your life and your loved ones. Have no regrets.
Challenges
Being a nurse means seeing many patients over and over during their twelve-hour shift and dealing with difficult scenarios each day. Then the COVID-19 pandemic happened and these frontline workers weren’t prepared for what was to come. They saw, almost overnight, the statistics come to life and experienced an unforgivable amount of professional and personal loss. By the time the second wave (delta) hit, the influx of patients and deaths was overwhelming and as the world comes to grips with a new variant (omicron) we see developing nations struggle to convince their people that vaccination is the best way forward, we want you to hear from the healthcare professionals themselves. In this segment, we listen to them describe their challenges first hand.
*Please note that none of the content is scripted or rehearsed. These are all personal encounters from each of the nurses interviewed.
